Hytec Power Inc. once again showed its “high-tech power” as it shone bright and tall at the 3rd Philippine Engineering Summit held at the Philippine Training Trade Center, June 4-6.

HPI’s new product line, AMATROL, being the highlight of the 3-day event, piqued the interest of exhibit goers from the industry, academe and even some government officials with its captivating and substantial 3 meters high and 4 meters wide banner set up.

Amatrol or Automatic Machine Control is a leader in skills-based, interactive technical learning. It currently serves a wide range of educational markets including universities, community colleges, technical colleges, vocational schools, high schools, middle schools and industry. The programs served within these institutions include engineering, engineering technology, technology, construction, manufacturing, robotics, computer integrated manufacturing, electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, mechatronics, and pre-engineering.

The company has a rich history beginning in 1964, when its original parent company, Dynafluid, Inc. was founded. Dynafluid was an industrial automation systems manufacturer that designed systems for many Fortune 500 companies including Coca Cola, General Electric, Alcoa, Ford, Chrysler, and others. In 1978, Amatrol was created as the educational division of Dynafluid to provide training to industrial clients for new technologies like those being implemented in Dynafluid’s systems. Dynafluid was in a unique position to effectively develop training programs for these technologies because its engineers and technicians were thoroughly familiar with the design, application and maintenance of them. Amatrol was formally incorporated as a separate company in 1981.

Amatrol offers learning systems for a broad array of topics including: power and energy, controls, manufacturing processes, design, fluids, fluid power, thermal, electrical, electrical motors, mechanical, communications, robotics, computer integrated manufacturing, mechatronics, and automation. It also offers a rich array of multimedia and eLearning on all key technical topics including skills via hands-on technical virtual trainers. Success in today’s knowledge-based economy requires a wide range of technical skills with the ability to apply them in a team-based, problem-solving environment. The Integrated Technology Concepts (ITC) Program of Amatrol teaches a broad array of critical technical skills using Project-based Learning across different technology sectors. Students learn how to integrate and apply multiple technologies to accomplish a goal while also learning essential workplace skills such as teamwork, communications and others.

Amatrol believes that curriculum is the key to learning; therefore it designed its modular framework on cognitive and hands-on skills, either self-directed or teacher-led, through Learning Activity Packets (LAPs). LAPs are integrated study units that support just-in-time skills through presentation of theory immediately reinforced with hands-on application.

These features and other pertinent information were clearly illustrated in the semi-circular banner which stood tall near the entrance of the PTTC exhibit hall. Apart from being visually appealing, Amatrol’s booth also enthused spectators with its various products especially Amatrol’s Mutimedia and e-Assessment suitable to the needs of the industry and the academe, introduced by our Sales and Application Executives and Product Specialists.

HPI entertained numerous inquiries from different industry practitioners and educators regarding Amatrol’s outstanding learning system that is a total solution for both the industry and the academe.

The Philippine Engineering Summit is a bi-annual event organized by the Philippine Technological Council (PTC).
