With the theme “Resilience by Embracing Change and Transformation through Research”, the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines held its Annual General Meeting 2021 via Zoom last December 4, 2021.  It was attended by some 150 member professionals from different local chapters around the country.

One of the highlights of this year’s AGM was the presentation of the accomplishment reports of each chapter, including the reports of the national chapter and the national treasury. The presenters from each chapter were as follows:

  1. Bicol Chapter President, Dr. Rommel Evan Paje
  2. Cavite Chapter President, Engr. Jomer Catipon
  3. Cebu Chapter President, Dr. Joseph Pepito
  4. DMMMSU/La Union Chapter President, Dr. Jerry Carreon
  5. Isabela Chapter President, Dr. Jhamie Tets Mateo
  6. Negros Chapter President, Engr. Maria Rodelyn Tibon
  7. NCR Chapter President, Dr. Arvin R. De La Cruz
  8. National Chapter President, Engr. Mariciel M. Teogangco
  9. National Treasury, Engr. Bernard James Itao

In the same AGM, MRSP conferred the six passers of the Mechatronics and Automation Certification. They were: Jan Michael Gamboa, Michael Bacolod, Domingo Ygona, Jerome Reyes, Philip Salvaloza, and Jeffrey AquinoThe oath-taking was led by Engr. Joesl B. Bajador, MRSP adviser.

MRSP also recognized the efforts and contributions of its members to the accomplishments of the organization.  Below is the list of the awardees:

The awarding was led by Engr. Franklin D. Quiachon, MRSP Adviser.

Meanwhile, Engr. Gamiel “Jimmy” Itao, MRSP adviser, welcomed the participants and Engr. Eric Jude S. Soliman, MRSP vice president for Mechatronics, gave the closing remarks. Engr. Soliman is the President and CEo of Hytec Power, Inc. He was assisted by the intelligent humanoid robots of Hytec, Nao and Pepper.

Engr. Ariel P. Duran, MRSP National Chairman acknowledged the presence of the participants while Engr. Mark Joseph Enojas, MRSP National Secretary led the opening prayer and the singing of the national anthem.
