The infusion of technology in our present educational system becomes significant as we aim to match international standards. With this effort, we are compelled to enhance the competencies of our technology mentors so they could produce youths who are highly skilled and globally competitive professionals.
Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), in cooperation with Hytec Power Inc. and the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities of Industrial Technology (PACUIT), Inc. NORSU Chapter conducted the 5th Skills Upgrading, a faculty development hands-on training on April 7-10, 2015 at the Training Center for Industrial Electronics, Negros Oriental State University, Main Campus I, Dumaguete City.
The skills upgrading, which obtained endorsements from Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Patricia B. Licuanan, Ph.D., and likewise from Dr. Renato V. Alba, PACUIT Executive Director, was organized by the PACUIT local chapter Officers led by its President, Dr. GLICERIO E. DURAN, JR., the Dean, College of Industrial Technology of NORSU. The momentous occasion was graced by Dr. NORA M. PONCE, President, PACUIT, Inc. and President of Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College (ZCSPC) who was the guest speaker during the opening program.
